The Flying Scotsman Steam train, photographed on the East Lancashire Railway. The winter steam gala certainly lived up to it’s name with a weekend of winter snow. The snow certainly did not put off the 100’s of visitors and truly added to the atmosphere of this historic visit of this most famous train.

January Steam Gala on the East Lancashire Railway (ELR) It was a chance to see many different trains the highlight being the Flying Scotsman it historic black livery looked very classy against the backdrop of snow and ice.
