Pillers of Industry – Castlefield Manchester
Eastgate, the location of the “east gate” to the old roman Manchester. Castlefield is now the new name but between the two descriptions the land has become populated by mills and navigation points first to enable trade and now a new income of new folk seeking homes with modern trades,
Night becomes Day, Bury landscale and beyond to Manchester on the horizon.
I spotted this amazing fan on the side of an old Lancashire Mill that contained a wood mill, I could not resist the colours and the texture, yum !!
Photographing the stars over an old earthmover that had been stood for some time. Funny to observe the cloud movement as it passed over the full moon.
Salford Gas works is a familiar historical view on the horizon for many who live and work in the area, sadly I have just heard that the site is due to be demolished.
Ashton Baths restored, thank goodness. Today my first visit to see inside after 40 years shut to the public how I wondered what it would look like today I found out.
