Dot Motorcycles Hulme Manchester, one of the original old buildings of Hulme that managed to avoid the slum clearances from the 1950’s and 1960’s.
Although production of the Dot Motorcycle ceased in the 1960’s the company is still here still supplying spare parts to the famous Motorcycles that are now distributed all around the world.
I have started off a new photography project called “Look up” !
It is funny how so few of us look up especially in my home city of Manchester. I am hoping to include some closer views of city locations but also a few locations where there is some space to have a sprawl on the floor to capture some great roof details.
P.S. I thought that this was a great project to start to keep out of the rain : )
A quiet corner of John Rylands Library in Manchester.
I have recently seen some great Church photography on the more unusual subject of Church Roofs and could see that I may have been missing out on some more unusual views.
When the rain broke out it gave me a great opportunity to take cover in some of Manchester’s great old buildings, my favourite is John Rylands.
Tripod photography is not allowed unless you are on an organised tour so turned on my camera’s timer and kept a close guard to prevent anyone stepping on my camera. So look up every now and then and admire the view.
