The winter of 2015 / 2016 was the wettest that I can ever remember, sadly this brought a devastating flood to Lancashire. I took this photograph during the floods of a beech tree being swamped, as a long exposure photograph it took on a “Chinese painting theme” to me anyway : )
Amazing High drop of moorland water, it had been raining a lot (for a change) the huge rush of water peaked my attention, a few hurdles over fences and I found this beauty. Long exposure photograph in “sunny” Oldham.
Winter flooding of the River Irwell 2015/2016 which left this old river bridge crossing buckled and broken. This long exposure photograph of wet, cold sad day certainly enhanced the mood in monochrome – hope it is fixed very soon.
A cornish harbour photographed at low tide, the sun has set only a few moments before leaving a beautiful colourful evening light.
Tethered boats at Burrs Country Park in Bury Lancashire. A lovely still Autumn day, perfect for photographing reflections of the boats and the old mill tower.
Sunny Autumn Day at Rivington Reservoir Lancashire.
Long Exposure photograph of a leaf caught in old fence
Long exposure photograph of tree branch, taken using a 10 stop neutral density filter.
The Whitstable Oyster Company is one of England’a oldest companies that can trace it’s origins of fishing and dredging back to the 1400’s. The pretty coastline around this part of Kent has many dredgers and fishing scenes for the artist and photographer to capture.
