Amazing High drop of moorland water, it had been raining a lot (for a change) the huge rush of water peaked my attention, a few hurdles over fences and I found this beauty. Long exposure photograph in “sunny” Oldham.
This week Autumn arrived. A heavy few nights of rain resulted in the leaching of peat into the local river and the first of the seasons leaf fall. I took this long exposure photograph whilst going to see the river, a day later we had the most impressive storm, when I returned I found a large tree had crushed these two small trees into the river – the power of nature eh

A steaming hot summer day at the Lancashire locomotive Steam Fair.
Delcate summer flowers of the Nigella Plant.
The winter of 2015 / 2016 was the wettest that I can ever remember, sadly this brought a devastating flood to Lancashire. I took this photograph during the floods of a beech tree being swamped, as a long exposure photograph it took on a “Chinese painting theme” to me anyway : )
